DMI Awarded NIH Grant

The DNA Medicine Institute (DMI) announced today that it has been awarded an NIH grant to continue development of its STAT blood sensor technology. This innovative device is designed to produce complete blood counts for all major cell subtypes from just a single drop of blood.

“I am pleased that our technology has passed both peer and Advisory Council review at the NHLBI,” said Dr. Eugene Chan of DMI. “This continued funding will allow us to fully mature the technology, enabling rapid and critical diagnostic information from small-volume blood samples in emergency, clinical, and field settings.”

The grant underscores DMI’s commitment to advancing point-of-care diagnostics and bringing cutting-edge blood analysis to a wide range of medical and emergency applications.
