We believe that the greatest advancements in medicine are made by innovators with a passion for improving patient care. Empowering these creative individuals with the proper training can lead to significant benefits for humanity. To this end, we have established the Medical Innovation Program which grants internships, assistantships, and fellowships to highly skilled and creative individuals with the potential to make transformative contributions to medicine. Members of this program will work closely with and be mentored by Dr. Eugene Chan in translating ideas into practical realities that make a difference. The program is open to physicians, scientists, and engineers with a strong desire to create and develop medical devices. Applications are reviewed on a continuous basis. The process is highly selective. Only individuals with innate innovation ability and a strong desire to help patients are accepted into the program.
The medical innovation program is so exciting because I am given the opportunity to use my creative energy to make a positive difference in medicine. It's an amazing feeling to know that the work I am doing every day as part of the program will help save lives in the near future.
